Anisa Nandaula is a Ugandan‑Australian spoken‑word poet‑turned‑stand‑up comedian based in Brisbane. Born in Kampala in 2001 and migrating to Australia at age eight, she burst onto the poetry scene by winning the 2016 Queensland Poetry Slam, then placed runner‑up nationally and released her debut collection 'Melanin Garden', earning the XYZ Innovation in Spoken Word Prize in 2018. In 2020 she pivoted into comedy, channelling her sharp wit and lived experience—touching on race, relationships, class, and identity—into stand-up that resonates across platforms, garnering over 50 million views and more than 300K TikTok followers .
