Step into the glowing beauty of The Glasshouse at Montvale for an intimate evening of music, atmosphere and botanical refreshment.

Chapel of Love: Baroque Botanica invites you to slow down and drink in the moment — the music, the candlelight, the forest beyond the glass, and the company of those gathered around you.

As early evening settles over the hinterland, musicians from the Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra gather inside Montvale’s beautiful glass chapel for a jewel-like chamber concert of baroque favourites.

The ensemble features a chamber group of ten strings with Viola player Andrew Pazsowski joined by two oboe players including Emma Secomb — both from Montville — performing music perfectly suited to the chapel’s warm acoustic.

The program includes beloved works such as:

George Frideric Handel – Arrival of the Queen of Sheba (from Solomon)

Alessandro Marcello – Oboe Concerto in D minor – II. Adagio (slow movement)

Inside the chapel, the glass walls open to the surrounding forest, creating a natural canvas of shifting evening light. The building itself is a work of quiet drama — constructed from reclaimed timbers from Garden Island Navy Wharf in Sydney, the Eltham Rail Trestle Bridge in Victoria, and Oregon timber from a historic Victorian schoolhouse. These weathered beams rise skyward, drawing the eye upward through the glass and into the canopy beyond.

Guests are invited to linger and enjoy a signature Rangebow refreshment, included with your ticket and crafted using Montvale’s own botanical gin.

The Blue Lagoon – a botanical gin cocktail with citrus and aromatic botanicals, or, a refreshing alcohol-free botanical citrus mocktail.
