Beginning at the Maleny Showgrounds and finishing at the Maleny Precinct, the walk winds through lush creekside habitat where platypus are known to feed, swim and occasionally reveal themselves to patient observers.

Along the way, Neil will share his knowledge of platypus behaviour, habitat and the subtle signs that might reveal their presence.

Neil has spent many years observing platypus along Obi Obi Creek and sharing his passion with visitors from around the world.

With patience, quiet observation and a little luck, participants may glimpse one of Australia’s most extraordinary animals in its natural habitat.
